Homestead is a 12 bed sober living facility for women located in the North Georgia Mountains of Habersham County. For over 10 years we have been providing a long-term living environment to women who find their lives fractured by drug and alcohol addiction. The Homestead community offers guidance, forgiveness and second chances to women willing to commit to a 12 month program. Homestead works closely with local law enforcement, and other community agencies, to provide a structured pathway toward sobriety.
Our facility and grounds are nestled into a small valley along with farms, wild life and nature. It is the perfect setting for those who are willing to work on healing from addiction. We believe that love and respect along with guidance through the twelve steps is the needed combination for long term success.
We encourage our residents to spend time outdoors working in the garden, sitting around the fire pit or hiking one of the many trails in the surrounding area. Weather permitting, we gather around the campfire and celebrate our accomplishments, share stories, and discuss our discoveries as we grow together as a community.
The common living areas include a warm, inviting living room and a fully stocked kitchen to create healthy meals. All residents have daily household chores and instructions provided as needed. We all work together to maintain Homestead as a safe, clean, organized, respectful and loving environment.
